Slip Dresses

Early Fall 2011 Trend- SILK DRESSES

As I have been working in retail and seeing the new product start to come into the stores, I have noticed a shift of style. Instead of dramatic statements and loud apparel, the fashion world has calmed down and relaxed their styles. One trend that I am started to see over and over again is silk dresses.

It maybe the way they look as they flow by, but silk dresses scream elegance but our relaxed, pure and simple. They remind me of the basic slip that is worn underneath most of women's dresses but paired with the right jacket, bag and shoe- a staple item in your closet turns into a fabulous night on the town.

SHOP and STYLE

Forever21 has their new line of dresses in and they are gorgeous! Beautiful plum, ginger and apple colors are just the right combination for fall. And the best part is there only $15.50!! I paired this dress with some black wedges by Michael Kors. You can find these shoes on Piperlime for only $145. Add some fun gold tone jewelry and you set!

Last FIRST day of school

Today marks the last first day of school I will ever have! As happy as I am, I will really miss the excitement of back to school shopping and dressing up for the first day. Growing up,  it was always a ritual to lay out everything that I got for school and start to organize what top was going with what boots- what scarf ended up with what dress and so on. It was an important rule to make sure to wake up 2 hours before school even started, just to be prepared :)

So today as I was getting ready, I took a deep breathe in and walked into the last first day of school. As it started at 7:45 am I wasn't too excited to be there but I made it through. It went by fast and by the time I knew it I was already on my way home. Thank you BYU-I for letting me share that last first day with you today! Looking forward to graduation in December.

Sunshine Sunday

Yesterday started off with not a very productive shopping experience. As it was one of my first days off in over a week, I decided to return to the mall to find some new dresses and skirts. When it comes to Sunday, I feel that I never have anything to wear. So as I walked through the shops at the mall I found nothing in any of the stores. This always seems to happen, when I am free to go shop I can never find anything, but while I am at work or in a hurry I always seem to find stuff.

I went all over Idaho Falls, Tjmaxx, Kohl's, and a few small boutiques and still couldn't find anything to wear to church on Sunday. Then I realized that I hadn't been to Target in so long and decided to stop by and I fell in love with there new collection. I am a big fan of Target clothing- the majority of it is priced well and the quality holds up.

One of the new trends for Fall is 70's folk and hippy inspired items. The bright colors, paisley print and fringe screams uber chic and I have fallen in love for it. You will see that I can never pass up a great deal and I found a fantastic dress for only $24.99!

These are a few pictures that Emily wanted me to take of her. She is wearing a pink knit dress from Downeast, (which right now is 30%t off all there clearance!) a vintage scarf and boots from Wetseal.

Fall Photoshoot

This is already on my good friend's Mccall's blog but I had to brag about what a great photographer she is and what fun we had taking these pictures! We were able to go up to the countryside with some beautiful summer weather and get our modeling on :)

Here is a list of what the models are wearing and where to get there fabulous looks on a budget:

Brandi's Outfit- Most of what Brandi has on is from Forever 21 (forever21.com).  I am obsessed with her gorgeous gold chained DKNY watch that she got from Nordstorm's. There is a great selection of DKNY watches that I found on piperlime.com. Take a look, they are radiant.

My Outfit- Jeans- Uptown Skinny Jean (Only $26.50 at wetseal.com) Top is also from wetseal and brown booties from bcbg.

Mccall Outfit-  Mccall is wearing Hudson skinny jeans (hudsonjeans.com). She also has a beautiful gold chain watch (these are a must for fall!) which is Michael Kors and also from Nordstorm's (nordstorms.com/watches)

Everyone can be "that girl"

I am obsessed. Clothes, bags, jewelry and makeup- the list goes on and on. I have grown up in a place far from the fashion capital, but it doesn't mean that I can't find great product around me.

This is a blog for those that can share the same inspiration and love for great fashion. I am a true fashionista and I am always on a budget for great deals!
